Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner, who served as the Senior Rabbi to the Movement for Reform Judaism is returning to community Rabbinate with Bromley Reform Synagogue in South East London. Laura who spent nine years as the figurehead for The Movement for Reform Judaism (MRJ) will start her work at Bromley Reform Synagogue at the beginning of April.

“It is a coup for us to attract Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner, such a high-quality rabbi to Bromley,” said Michelle Brooks Evans, Chair of Bromley Reform Synagogue. “Following her near-decade as Senior Rabbi to The Movement for Reform Judaism and her period at Alyth, she has chosen to return to her vocation as Bromley’s community rabbi and we are thrilled to have her enthusiasm, intelligence, and spiritual guidance. As a magnet for Jewish life in the area, the possibilities are excitingly endless,” Michelle added.

Rabbi Laura, who is also an Inclusion and Development Coach, said: “I am completely thrilled to be returning to my true vocation as a congregational rabbi. I already love Bromley for their open hearts, true inclusion, and exceptional mutual support. Bromley is a friendly and generous community for people of all kinds.”

MRJ acting co-Chair Paul Langsford said the Movement is pleased to hear the good news: “I’m delighted to learn that Rabbi Laura is joining Bromley. It’s a caring and thriving community, she’ll receive a warm and enthusiastic welcome, and we wish Rabbi Laura every success in her new role,” he said.
