On Sunday, 10 February the shul held a cocktail party (alcoholoc and non-alcoholic with nibbles) for new members who had joined during the past couple of years to give them the opportunity to meet the new Rabbi and Board members and to ask questions about the shul and what it had to offer them.

Many of the new members consisted of young families and one of the classrooms had been set aside for their children to enjoy themselves while the adults got on with the serious business of partying.

Chairman John Posner, Rabbi Chava Koster and the party organiser made short speeches of welcome and the evening ended with a short magic show given by the visiting magician Professor Palmermoff.
